A gentle place to land amidst life's ups and downs
Therapy for Life Transisions in Washington State
Life is full of suffering and grief. You may find yourself feeling overwhelmed by changes, struggling to find a sense of direction, or second-guessing decisions. Perhaps it feels like you’re stuck, and this is just how things will be. Life transitions, whether planned or unexpected, bring up complex emotions and challenges that signal the need for deeper understanding and care. In our work together, we’ll create a supportive and compassionate space to explore the feelings and fears that arise during times of change. Through this process, you can gain clarity, reconnect with your inner strength, and develop the tools to navigate uncertainty with resilience. Transitions and struggle are unavoidable in our lives, yet we can work to find the support, compassion, and confidence to move through them in alignment with our goals and values.

What can I expect in therapy?
Will I get a diagnosis?
How long to I need to be in therapy?
How do I get started?
In therapy it's important to build a solid foundation of trust and safety in the therapeutic relationship before any deeper work occurs. This means we'll get to know each other, explore your goals, and begin to create space for you to explore the specific struggles and griefs of your life. We'll work together to reconnect with your inner wisdom and give you space to feel supported through whatever you are navigating.

If you are using your Out of Network insurance benefits we will need to have a diagnosis. If you are paying out of pocket we can have a conversation about diagnosis and what makes the most sense for you. For some people, having a diagnosis can feel comforting and validating, while for others it can feel stigmatizing. In general I find that full human experiences don't fit neatly into the diagnostic criteria in the DSM IV. No matter what I will include you in the diagnosing process and we can work through anything that comes up together.
This will depend on where you are at and where you'd like to get to. I work with clients anywhere from 6 months to a couple years or more. Most clients start on a weekly basis so that we can build a therapeutic relationship and then can step down to every other week or even monthly as they are feeling ready for less consistent therapeutic support.
Head to the Contact page to book a consultation, we'll meet on a video platform for 20 minutes to see if we could be a good fit to work together and then get a session scheduled. If for any reason we aren't a good fit I'll do my best to provide referrals for you. I look forward to meeting you!
